Eh?

As i read post after post about end of the year reflections, i thought to myself... what happened to me this past year? Well, for one thing, i became a sophomore. Did that really change things much? Not really. I generally handled things on my own freshmen year, so nothing really changed in the way i did things, but the one big change was the existance of an entire class that was younger then me. So besides living my usual boring life, i found myself watching out for some of the freshmen and trying to make sure their first semester went as smoothly as possible. My first semester of freshmen year was great, and i wanted this years freshmen to have a good first impression of college like i did. Did that work out? I can't say, you gotta ask the freshmen about that.

As for me personally, it was around this time last year that i really started getting involved with Epic (so beginning of 2nd semester freshmen year). This turned out to be one of the biggest choices i made in my life. Not only did it affect what i did on thursday and friday nights, but it also affected my friendships. If it wasnt obvious enough, i'll just state it here clearly... i fell out of the loop. Honestly, it made me a little sad, but it probably was for the best. I found a fellowship where i could serve and where i felt everyone there was genuine. I got into an awesome small group and learned lots about evangelism and reaching out to our fellow Asian-American students (ask me more about it in person). With a new fellowship also came new friends. I was also able to get to know some people even better and i cherish every friendship that has grown this past year.

So overall, i consider 2005 a positive year... actually... i guess every year should be a positive year. I think it's getting late and i'm starting to make less and less sense... let me know if thats the case... i'll probably be changing this some later... thats it for now. Hopefully this year i'll actually post more then once a month. :)

Oh, and of course, Hook 'em horns! Way to go team on winning the national championship!
