Christmas is almost here

I can't wait! Thanksgiving break was nice... but Christmas break is what it's all about! A whole month at home! Yes, yes, Austin is my home too, but the good old Land of Sugar can never be replaced. I've got two homes now :) Reflection on the semester? why not. God has truly blessed with me with a fairly easy first semester... it gave me the opportunity to really settle in and meet new people. This of course means i'll be having a rather intense second semester, so wish me luck on that. I can safely say now that i am glad i picked UT over Berkeley... saved a ton of money and, even though i havent met the people over in Cali, the people here are really good about getting the freshmen involved and out of their rooms. It's also nice to have people i already knew before college here at UT. One thing i've noticed after starting college is that you can tell who your real friends are if even after not seeing them for a while, you still have the exact same relationship as before. This includes people here and back home (and those at other schools). I may not see someone for awhile except for the occasional passing in the streets, but when we do get to spend a significant amount of time together, everything is the same. I take comfort in this since i know i wont randomly lose my closest friends due to the lack of time spent in each others presense :P This doesnt mean i dont miss the good times spent with friends. I wish i could have more time to socialize with them, but we all have important things to do. I think we should all take the initiative when it comes to asking people when they are free and seeing if you can work out some sort of get together and if not, at least try to have some sort of real conversation. Anyways, continuing with my semester reflection... God: wish i spent more time talking to Him and in His word. family: dont forget about them. I wasnt too good about calling home, but luckily my parents called me at least once a week. Keep in touch, your parents love you even if you dont think they show it... cause they probably do show it, just in a funny way. Talk to your siblings too, doesnt really matter what you talk about, anything will do. I talked to my brother some too... which reminds me... i didnt catch amazing race last night... dang it... i am also fortunate enough to have a couple of cousins that go to UT too. I dont see Jason that often, but when i do, it's like a party every time ;) hehe. Kristin i've gotten to see quite a bit and it's been nice getting to know her a little bit better though now we can really see we have our differences :) all in all... this was a great semester i really dont think i deserved. God has been too good to me. Even finals for me isnt gonna be bad since i only have two finals and one is open note. well, i guess that's it for now. I hope this was entertaining. Good luck on all your finals and projects everyone! I wouldve posted earlier, but i liked having my wishlist on top :D (BTW, my bro said he'd get me the star wars trilogy!!! wooohooo!) probably should have wished Fred a happy birthday on here a few weeks ago... hehe... oh, and a very happy 18th birthday to Zaneta! :)
