The Future
I may have had a post with this title already... hmmm... anyways... so i'll be goin up to UT Austin in less then 15 days... am i nervous? A little. Who wouldnt be? Moving to a whole different place... kinda scary. I'm probably not as nervous as some freshmen since I know the campus pretty well, but the whole college life is what it's all about. No parents. No required homework. Tougher classes where you should do the homework to make sure you know the stuff. :) It's a change that I pray I will be able to cope with. I also pray that I won't stray any farther from God. Growing closer to Him needs to be my top priority. Then my studies come after that. This is the time that makes or breaks you. I truly hope that as a group, we college freshmen can grow in the Lord and not stray away from our ultimate purpose of living FOR God. Thats really all i have to say now about college.
As for you high schoolers... especially the seniors... i will greatly miss you all. I'll try to see you all before we head off. :( Keep in touch and dont be a stranger! Seniors, make this upcoming year a year to remember! Keep those grades up... but make sure to have fun!!! Start the college apps early... always keep UT at the top of your list ;) unless youre a genius... then Harvard all the way! :P Build up your relationships... cause friends are always great to have especially in your last year of high school. Make sure at least one of you can drive (i'm pretty sure that's covered already). Dont forget your classmates at the other schools. Work hard to be good leaders and examples in the youth fellowship. Volunteer for the audio team! Otherwise... dont mess with the equipment! Go to prom! Go with friends! You wont regret it (just ask Mel and Rachel :P). Get out of the house. Talk to people (including your parents). I'm out of stuff to say! I'll be praying for all of you... and may God bless you this upcoming school year!
